Easy Way to Put on Coat

If you find the video helpful, consider donating $1.

Children love to be independent at an early age.  They long to be grown up, to be able to pour their own glass of juice, to do what their siblings are doing – running faster, being bigger and the masters of their own universe.  This simple activity shows how your child can put on her coat all by herself that she will be thrilled to practice.

Easy Way to Put On Coat

Steps on the video:

  1. Have your daughter place her open coat on the floor with the opening facing up and the sleeves out to the sides.
  2. Then have your daughter stand at the top of the coat.  It will look odd at first because it seems the opposite of what should happen but that's the magic of this tool.
  3. Have your daughter bend over and insert her hands into the sleeve openings directly in front of her.
  4. Inserting her hands in the sleeves and lifting the coat up and over her head. It will  become one smooth motion.
  5. Gravity will slide the coat down her sleeves and ta-da she has her coat on and probably a smile on her face.
