Has little Samantha been scribbling on the walls lately? Or just following you around with a notebook and scribbles on each page? She is showing an interest in writing! Although we don't encourage writing on the walls (washable markers are a great invention), she needs an outlet for the writing so give her big pieces of paper to draw to her hearts content. Her early scribbles are ways for her to express herself. Ask her to tell you about her drawing or what she has written and she will be able to tell you in detail. Showing an interest in her work is a great way for her to see the importance of writing. Learning to write is such an incredible adventure.
